Updated 2008 All-Time Discus Rankings

Class A stole the show this year for the boys discus. Hegerle (pictured right) and Plante (pictured far right) both over 180' for most of the year made the state meet a great show with Hegerle coming through with an 185-6 to earn the crown.

Class AA had it's big throw again by Wisconsin bound Casey Dehn but had some drama at the state meet. Nick Hawley, future Hamline Piper, almost completed the David vs. Goliath story but his 5th throw of the competition was scratched by meet officials at the back of the circle. The 5'7" 165 lb Hawley's throw was well over 165' which would have moved him into first going into the final throw of the competition. Dehn closed the door and any speculation about what would have happened with a 173'9" final throw to put an exclamation point on the competition and 2 state titles.
